How to determine if your portal is 'User Driven' or 'Service Driven' - Connect

This guide will show you how to determine if your portal is 'User Driven' or 'Service Driven'.

 
1. Click on Organisation

2. Click on Users
Click on Users
3. Click on any User record
Click on any User record
4. Scroll to the bottom of the page. If you see both a "Cost Centre" and a "Cost Centre Allocation" field, this means your portal is User driven. If you only see the "Cost Centre" field against the user record, this means your portal is Service Driven.

If you see both a "Cost Centre" and a "Cost Centre Allocation" field, this means your portal is User driven. 
If you only see the "Cost Centre" field against the user record, this means your portal is Service Driven.
5. Go to the Services tab
Go to the Services tab
6. In a User Driven portal, all the services assigned to a user inherit that users' Cost Centre details.
In a Service Driven portal, the services can be allocated individually to different, or the same Cost centre that is assigned to the user.
